Pinewood Derby

The pinewood derby is one of the most popular family activities in Cub Scouting. With the help of a parent, each Cub Scout designs and builds his own wooden car to proudly compete on race day. Although first, second, and third-place medals are bestowed, the true prize is the fun and learning Scouts experience with their families.
